It's been several weeks since the Arizona Wildcats have played a football game, so it's not exactly a surprise that there are no players listed as probable, questionable or doubtful on the team's official release.
The only players listed as out are Trevor Ermisch (arm), DeAndre' Miller (shoulder), and Nate Phillips (broken foot). All of those injuries had been deemed season-ending at some point earlier this year, so no surprises.
Rich Rodriguez did hint at Monday's media day that there may be a little more to it than that.
Rodriguez said OG Cayman Bundage "ate an extra turkey over Christmas" and is now getting treatment for an ankle injury. Sounds questionable.— Daniel Berk (@DSBerk) December 29, 2014
Clarification on Bundage tweet earlier. It's a knee sprain, not ankle.— Daniel Berk (@DSBerk) December 29, 2014
Cayleb Jones wasn't at the press conference like the rest of the UA's starters. RR said he's not hurt, but he opted not to include him today— Daniel Berk (@DSBerk) December 29, 2014
The coach did say he expects Jones to play Wednesday.— Daniel Berk (@DSBerk) December 29, 2014
RR on Samajie Grant: "I love Samajie and his attitude and the way he works. He’s good to go."— Daniel Berk (@DSBerk) December 29, 2014
If Bundage does indeed miss the game, that could be an issue for Arizona in the first half as center Steven Gurrola already has to sit to start the game after being ejected against Oregon. Carter Wood will start at center, and it's likely that Lene Maiava would be who the coaches turn to if Bundage can't go.
