Arizona Wildcats RB Pierre Cormier has announced his football career is over due to a medical condition.
Cormier appeared to be healthy all spring, and was one of the main contenders to take the majority of snaps at running back in 2014 after redshirting last year.
The Daily Star reports that on his Facebook page, Cormier said "Football has always meant the world to me.. Due to a medical condition I've been told I can never play again.."
Out of Madison High School in San Diego, CA, Cormier impressed with his speed and his ability to see the field. He was rated four stars by Scout even though he lacked some of the size you would want from a running back looking to be the primary option.
This is just a tough break for a young kid who seemed to have a promising future at Arizona and possibly beyond. The issue seems to have been brewing for a couple weeks, and all came to a head today.
Hoping for great news this week
