Cal vs. Arizona: Samajie Grant listed as questionable for the Wildcats

Overall, the team is a little healthier heading into conference play

The weekly Arizona Wildcats injury report is out, and it appears the team is overall a little healthier than previous weeks.

Here's the breakdown:

PROBABLE: Jacob Alsadek (foot)

QUESTIONABLE: Samajie Grant (concussion), DeAndre' Miller (shoulder)

No one is listed as doubtful or out.

Grant suffered the concussion early in the second quarter vs. Nevada last week, and I think it's highly unlikely he plays this week. The DeAndre' Miller injury is new, and if he is unable to go, some speed at outside linebacker is lost, which is important against an offense like Cal.

Alsadek has not played since the first week with this foot issue. Lene Maiava has played well starting in his place at right guard, so if anything, it just gives the offensive line more bodies to rotate in and out during the game if the freshman Alsadek is able to go Saturday. He did not have a boot on at practice Wednesday, but still had a green, limited-contact jersey on.

Notable names that are no longer on the injury report are DaVonte' Neal and Terris Jones-Grigsby. Like Alsadek, Jones-Grigsby only played in the season-opener, and it feels like he may have lost his job to freshman Nick Wilson, even though this week's depth chart lists Jones-Grigsby as the starter. Neal got in the game late vs. Nevada after not playing at all in the UTSA game due to an ankle injury. Also, nose tackle Jeff Worthy is not on here either after missing last week's game.

Overall, a healthier week than previous weeks, and no injuries in the secondary, which is where depth is crucial this week. The one thing to keep an eye on is who gets the snaps at running back.
