College football rankings: Arizona gets a little love in Coaches Poll

New, comments

The Week 3 Amway Coaches Poll gives a little nod to Arizona after a testy victory against UTSA.

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

Arizona football earned seven votes in the Week 3 Amway Coaches Poll after defeating UTSA, ranking it 38th in college football. The Wildcats garnered six votes in the Week 2 coaches poll, but holding off a tough Larry Coker squad in San Antonio on Thursday didn't ding them.

More glaring in this week's poll is Oklahoma's leapfrog of Oregon despite the Ducks' decisive victory against Michigan State. Oklahoma thumped Tulsa. Elsewhere in the Pac-12, USC leapt into the top-10 by beating Stanford, which itself fell to No. 16. Arizona State also jumped past the Cardinal and finds itself No. 14.
