Arizona football: Three Wildcats to play in senior showcase games on Saturday

Time to watch some former Arizona players this weekend

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

Are you missing Arizona Wildcats football? Well, you're in luck as three former Wildcats will be in action on Saturday.

As they prepare for the NFL Draft, William Parks, Lene Maiava and Reggie Gilbert will all play in showcase games Saturday afternoon.

Parks and Gilbert are playing in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, which will take place at 4 PM MT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and on WatchESPN.

Both of the former Arizona players will be on Team American. Parks will wear No. 31 and Gilbert will be No. 98. The American team is coached by former NFL head coach Mike Holmgren, and goes against Team National, which is led by Mike Martz. If you live in Southern California, you can go to this game at StubHub Center on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Maiava will take part in the East-West Shrine Game. That will be shown on NFL Network at 2 PM MT. It will be played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL.

The former Arizona offensive lineman will wear No. 75 for the West team, which is coached by June Jones.

You can basically spend all day Saturday watching Arizona things with these two games leading directly into the basketball game at 6:30.

It should be interesting to see if Parks, Gilbert or Maiava can make some plays to maybe give them a little bit of a bump in recognition heading into the brunt of their workout programs.
