We’ve reached the point of the summer where people really start to focus in on the upcoming college football season. Award watch lists are coming out, media days are underway, and betting odds are out.

The Arizona Wildcats, fresh off a lackluster 7-6 season, are not exactly betting favorites to win their division or conference according to Bovada.

Pac-12 betting odds

As you can see, only Colorado has worse odds at winning the South, and only three teams have worse odds of winning the conference.

The Wildcats lose several key pieces to not only last year’s team, but the 2014 Pac-12 South Championship team. The 2016 version of the club should have an interesting mix of experience and youth, which makes what they’re going to do so unpredictable.

What’s also unpredictable is the Pac-12 as a whole, particularly in football. It’s clear going into this year the favorites will be Stanford, UCLA, Washington and USC. But as we’ve seen on many occasions, that doesn’t really mean anything in this conference.
