Are you willing to take the over?

It’s August, which means it’s the time of year where all kinds of college football predictions come out.

The Arizona Wildcats did earn a couple of votes in the preseason coaches poll, and now there’s a clearer picture of the win total Vegas is giving them.

According to Bovada, Arizona’s over/under for wins in 2016 is 7.5.

Over 7½ (+150, 3/2)

Under 7½ (-190, 19/10)

This win total is before Conference Championship Games and Bowl Games. So essentially, oddsmakers are predicting that Arizona will go either 8-4 or 7-5 in the regular season.

Here’s a look at the Wildcats’ schedule this year:

What gives Arizona the advantage is the games they have at home compared to on the road. Arguably, the tougher matchups of USC, Stanford, and Washington are at home, while WSU and OSU are on the road. The one exception to this is travelling to Utah and hosting Colorado. UCLA and USC seem fairly even heading into this season. It also helps that the ASU game is in Tucson.

Personally, I think Arizona will go 7-5 this year, so I’m not going to tell you to take the over. I’m actually surprised that Vegas set the number so high. For comparison’s sake, Bovada has ASU’s over/under at 6, USC at 9.5, UCLA at 9, Utah at 6.5 and Colorado at 4.5.

So would you be willing to take the over on this mark? And how about the rest of the Pac-12 South?
