After last week, our readers moved the Washington Huskies slightly ahead of the Stanford Cardinal in our power rankings.
But now that Stanford is 1-0 in conference after a dominating win over the USC Trojans, the Cardinal are now back on top.
Here’s how this week’s voting played out thanks to 74 different votes:

The thing that caught my eye is the divisional groupings that we’re seeing. There are no North and South teams interspersed in the rankings, it’s always a chunk of two, except for that close group of four South teams in spots 7-10.
Once again, Cal was one of the bigger movers in the rankings. Last week, they dropped way down after losing to San Diego State. But now the Bears have a win over Texas, and there they are back in the top half of the conference.
I really enjoy that group of four South teams hanging out together in a tight bunch in the points column. It’s difficult to tell what exactly Colorado, USC, ASU and U of A all are right now. The next couple of weeks will certainly sort that out.
How much will change after the first full week of conference play? Let us know by bookmarking this page, and voting when it reopens on Sunday morning.
