Arizona football injury report: Several key Wildcats out at UCLA

Injury bug continues to bite Arizona

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Wildcats are headed to Los Angeles this weekend to play the UCLA Bruins, and Arizona will be missing quite a few key players, to say least.

Here is the full injury report:

Probable: Tellas Jones (Ankle)

Questionable: Nick Wilson (Ankle)

Doubtful:

Out: FB Jamardre Cobb (knee), LB DeAndre’ Miller (ankle), WR Shawn Poindexter (foot), QB Anu Solomon (knee), RB J.J. Taylor (ankle – out indefinitely), NG Parker Zellers (knee)

Good news — Arizona has a bye week this year, but the bad news is that it’s not this week. Last week we saw Tellas Jones listed as probable, but he didn't play. Nick Wilson is questionable for the second week in a row and questionable under Rich Rodriguez is usually out.

Anu Solomon has moved to out this week which begs the question on how serious his injury is. DeAndre' Miller, Jamardre Cobb, and Parker Zellers will all be out for the second week in a row. The new addition to the injury report are J.J. Taylor (who is likely out for the year) and Shawn Poindexter.

If Nick Wilson isn’t able to suit up, Zach Green will get his first considerable amount of playing time on the road against UCLA. Tyrell Johnson is also supposed to get carries at running back.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT Saturday night and the game will be televised on ESPN.
