Arizona Wildcats in the NFL: Trevin Wade finishes the regular season strong

Trevin Wade definitely earned the playing time he has gotten

The final week of the NFL regular season saw only a few former Arizona Wildcats in action. Trevin Wade had himself a great game while two rookies finished their first seasons.

Trevin Wade, DB (#31), New York Giants

2016 Stats: 26 tackles, 3 PBU, 1 fumble rec

Wade had himself a game Sunday night. He played strong defensively, swarming to the ball carrier to bring him down. He finished with four tackles. He also had an 11-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the 19-10 win for the Giants over the Washington Redskins.

Will Parks, S (#34), Denver Broncos

2016 Stats: 22 tackles, 1.0 TFL, 1 INT, 3 PBU

Parks finished up his rookie season on a high note. The rookie had a tackle and two PBUs in Denver’s 24-6 win over the Oakland Raiders. This year was important for Parks as he picked up large amounts of experience and he should have a successful career in the NFL.

Nick Folk, K (#2), New York Jets

2016 Stats: FG: 27-for-31 with a long of 51 yards; PAT: 24-for-26

Folk had a great game in Sunday’s surprising thrashing of the Buffalo Bills. He was 3-for-3 in field goal attempts with a long of 36 yards. He also converted all three PATs. The Jets won 30-10.

Scooby Wright III, LB (#58), Arizona Cardinals

2016 Stats: 2 tackles

Scooby finished his rookie season with one tackle in Arizona’s 44-6 shellacking of the Los Angeles Rams. He announced that he will spend part of his offseason working on his degree from Arizona.

Marquis Flowers, LB (#53), Cincinnati Bengals

2016 Stats: 7 tackles

Flowers did see action in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. He did not, however, record any stats.

Nick Foles, QB (#4), Kansas City Chiefs

2016 Stats: 36-for-55, 410 yds, 3 TD, 0 INT

Foles did see the field Sunday against the San Diego Chargers but did not record any stats.

Earl Mitchell, DT (#90), Miami Dolphins

2016 Stats: 17 tackles and 4.0 TFL

Mitchell played in Sunday’s 35-14 loss to the New England Patriots. He, however, did not record any stats.

Brooks Reed, LB/DE (#50), Atlanta Falcons

2016 Stats: 25 tackles, 3.0 TFL, 2.0 sacks, 1 PBU, 1 forced fumble

Reed played in Sunday’s 38-32 win over the New Orleans Saints but did not record any stats.

Robert Golden, S (#21), Pittsburgh Steelers

2016 Stats: 34 tackles, 1.0 TFL, 1 PBU

Golden did not see action against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday due to an unknown injury.

Ka’Deem Carey, RB (#25), Chicago Bears

2016 Stats: 32 car, 126 yds, 0 TD; 5 rec, 55 yds, 0 TD

Carey was a healthy inactive for Chicago’s contest against the Minnesota Vikings.

Rob Gronkowski, TE (#87), New England Patriots

2016 Stats: 25 rec, 540 yds, 3 TD

Gronk is on IR after season-ending back surgery.

Cayleb Jones, WR (#16), Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings signed Jones to a futures contract on Monday.
