Arizona Wildcats unveil uniforms for season-opener vs. NAU

The new uniform design debuts

The Arizona Wildcats have unveiled which uniform combination they’ll wear for Saturday’s season-opener against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.

Arizona will don white helmets, red jerseys, and white pants against its northern counterparts.

Of course, this is the first time Arizona will be wearing this uniform design since it was revealed in June.

Our Jason Bartel ranked this uniform combination as the eighth-best in the Wildcats’ new arsenal.

“You can’t put a white helmet on this without having some white in the shirt. You just can’t. This looks ridiculous,” he wrote.

I agree, I also think it’s a shame the white helmets don’t have some sort of stripe on them a la the Desert Swarm era.

Really though, I just hope the numbers are readable. They’re huge, yes, but blue on red is still difficult to read.

According to WildcatUniverse.com, Arizona is 3-1 since 2005 when wearing white helmets, red jerseys, and white pants.
