Senior running back Nick Wilson is listed as questionable with an ankle injury, the team’s injury report says.
Here’s the full injury report, which was released Thursday afternoon:
Probable: TE Jamie Nunley (back)
Questionable: RB Nick Wilson (ankle), TE Trevor Wood (ankle)
Out: DE/LB DeAndre’ Miller (foot), DB Isaiah Hayes (shoulder), WR Donovan Walker (shoulder)
Wilson has battled through injuries the last three seasons, so it’s not a major surprise to see his name on the injury report.
Should he be unable to play, J.J. Taylor or Zach Green would likely start in his place, and true freshman Nathan Tilford could see an increased role.
Not included on the injury report are wide receiver Cam Denson and quarterback Khalil Tate. Denson did not play last week as he continues to battle a foot injury and head coach Rich Rodriguez said the senior could redshirt this season.
Tate injured his shoulder late vs. NAU, and was limited in practice this week, though Rodriguez said Tate is fine. That said, it is unclear if he will be good to go this weekend. Rhett Rodriguez would likely be Arizona’s backup if Tate is out.
DeAndre’ Miller was still wearing a boot this week and Rodriguez declined to comment on the redshirt senior’s status. He had foot surgery in the offseason.
Arizona is likely getting one tight end back this week in Jamie Nunley, but could be without starter Trevor Wood, who is battling an ankle injury and listed as questionable.
Kickoff vs. Houston is set for 7:30 p.m. MST at Arizona Stadium and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
