The Arizona Wildcats will bring back the chrome red helmets for Saturday’s important game vs. the Houston Cougars, the program revealed Friday on Twitter.
They will be accompanied by a blue jersey and red pants.

Also cool: Arizona’s chrome helmets will have “Houston Strong” decals on them in support of those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Of course, the last time Arizona wore the chrome helmets, a lot of good things happened.
If you don’t remember (a lot of people seem to forget, so I am always quick to remind them), Arizona ran for a school-record 511 yards, and beat ASU 56-35 without throwing a pass in the second half.
The Wildcats have never worn this specific uniform combination (chrome, blue, and red), but they are 2-0 since 2005 when wearing red helmets, blue jerseys, and red pants, according to WildcatUniverse.com.
Arizona will try to improve that mark to 3-0 on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. MST and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
