Arizona Wildcats in the NFL: Rob Gronkowski reaches milestone in Patriots win

Gronk became just the 17th tight end in NFL history to have 500 career catches

Another week has passed, so let’s check in on how all the Arizona Wildcats in the NFL performed for their respective teams.

Dane Cruikshank, DB, Tennessee Titans

Result: Home loss to Baltimore, 21-0

Game Stats: 2 tackles and 1.0 TFL

Week 5 Stats: 1 tackle in 13-12 loss to Buffalo

Season Stats: 7 tackles and 1.0 TFL; 1 rec, 66 yds, 1 TD

Game Notes: Cruikshank played on both special teams and defense during the Titans’ loss. He did a great job tracking down the play and bringing down the ball carrier for his first tackle for loss.

The previous week, Cruikshank recorded a tackle in Tennessee’s one point loss to the Bills.

Nick Foles, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

Result: Away victory against New York Giants, 34-13

Week 5 Stats: None in 23-21 to Minnesota

Game Notes: Foles has not played since Carson Wentz returned in Week 3.

Reggie Gilbert, LB/DE, Green Bay Packers

Result: Home victory over San Francisco, 33-30

Game Stats: 3 tackles

Week 5 Stats: 4 tackles and 0.5 TFL in 31-23 loss to Detroit

Season Stats: 16 tackles, 2.0 TFL, 1.5 sacks

Game Notes: Gilbert is just productive, plain and simple. He recorded another three tackles in a thrilling come from behind victory against the 49ers.

Gilbert was coming off an outing in which he recorded four tackles and half a tackle for loss.

Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots

Result: Home victory against Kansas City, 43-40

Game Stats: 3 rec, 97 yds, 0 TD

Week 5 Stats: 6 rec, 75 yds, 0 TD in 38-24 victory over Indianapolis

Season Stats: 26 rec, 405 yds, 1 TD

Game Notes: Gronk is starting to heat up once again for the Pats. He ended up leading New England with 97 yards in a thrilling game against Kansas City. He became just the 17th tight end in league history to have 500 career catches, and he did it in just 108 games, the fourth-fastest ever.

Earl Mitchell, NT, San Francisco 49ers

Result: Road loss to Green Bay, 33-30

Game Stats: 2 tackles and 1.0 TFL

Week 5 Stats: 3 tackles in 28-18 loss to Arizona

Season Stats: 14 tackles and 2.0 TFL

Game Notes: Mitchell had a decent game against the Packers. He finished with two tackles with one of those causing a negative play.

Result: Home loss to Los Angeles Rams, 23-20

Game Notes: Parks was back to making plays for the Broncos’ secondary. He finished with two tackles and a broken up pass in a tight loss to the Rams.

Season Stats: 10 tackles. 1.0 TFL, 1.0 sack

Game Notes: Reed recorded his first sack of the season in a very close call against the Bucs. He has really started to pick things up, as witnessed the previous week when he recorded a season-high six tackles in a shellacking by the Steelers.
