The Arizona Wildcats suffered a monumental loss on the field Saturday, blowing a 19-point lead to rival Arizona State in the Territorial Cup.

But thankfully that collapse didn’t negatively impact the opinion of junior college defensive tackle Trevon Mason, who was at Arizona Stadium for an official visit. And one day later, Mason decided Arizona was the school for him.

The 6-foot-7, 300-pound Mason picked Arizona over Nebraska. Originally from Arlington, Texas, he currently plays for Navarro (Tex.) College where he’s registered 23 tackles (five for loss) and two sacks this season. Navarro completes its season Dec. 1 at the Salt City Bowl in Kansas.

Mason is the 16th commitment for Arizona in the 2019 recruiting class and the second in as many days. On Saturday the Wildcats landed a pledge from 3-star Belgian defensive end Sylvain Yondjouen.
