Some not-so-surprising recruiting news came to the Arizona Wildcats Sunday afternoon.
Fort Scott Community College offensive lineman Ahina “Rocky” Aitogi announced his decommitment from the Wildcats. At the same time, he announced his commitment to the New Mexico Lobos. Aitogi was on a visit to Albuquerque this weekend.
This wasn’t a surprise. Gabe Encinas and I put him on decommitment watch in early November.

This move also wasn’t surprising to the Arizona coaching staff. Aitogi has been very open and not really quiet about looking at other schools.
The ‘Cats didn’t even visit him this past week during the start of the contact period. It isn’t a big loss as UA is pursuing other options, such as JUCO OL Paiton Fears.
Arizona is back down to 17 known commits. They still have one silent that has yet to publicly announce.
