Brandon’s Thoughts: Loop is one of the best kickers in the country. He is a 5-star and is the 8th ranked kicker for Kohl’s Kicking Camps, which specializes in evaluating and ranking specialists along with Chris Sailer.
Loop has a huge leg and has great accuracy as well. I also love the way the ball sounds coming off his foot. I believe he’ll be able to come right in and add immediate competition to the kicker spot.
Lucas Havrisik, who also has a big leg, has struggled with accuracy his whole career. Loop should be able to come in and help push Havrisik from the get go.
Gabe’s Thoughts: I’ve watched a lot of his kicks and it looks like he is the real deal. He has received a lot of praise from the specialist community as well so hopefully he can turn things around here.
My preference would be to have him working under a new coach but for now I’d like to see Loop get in there and compete for the starting job.
