Brandon’s Thoughts: I love what Wright brings to the table. He is a big and very physical receiver. His size makes him an ideal weapon in the red zone. Let’s not forget his size is also makes him weapon on the outside all over the field.
He runs pretty solid routes, which is not common amongst receivers coming out of high school. He is a very physical blocker on the outside and he is very good at it.
He has the versatility to play both safety and receiver, however, Arizona is bringing him as a receiver.
Gabe’s Thoughts: I’m really happy with this commitment. I think he is a little undervalued in the rankings and perhaps overlooked by Arizona fans given the timing of his commitment being just hours after Arizona’s “highest ranked” recruit decommitted.
Wright comes from a championship program, has NFL bloodlines, and has a lot of great tools to be a productive wide receiver. Give him some time to develop and he will be a very productive piece in this offense.
