After losing a defensive lineman commit earlier in the week, the Arizona Wildcats added one Friday, when three-star prospect Dion Wilson announced his commitment to the UA.
The Perris, California native is the No. 1,351 player in the 2020 class, and No. 112 player in his state. Nicknamed “Tank”, Wilson is listed at 6-foot-5, 252 pounds and attends Orange Vista High School.

Wilson also had offers from ASU, New Mexico, Hawaii and Sacramento State. He is listed as an athlete because he also plays tight end (and basketball, and runs track).
“As a defensive lineman, Wilson could fit in any scheme,” wrote Greg Biggins of 247Sports. “He could grow in to an tackle or play on the edge in a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme. He shows a good motor, the ability to collapse the pocket as a pass rusher and as he continues to develop more as an athlete, has a chance to be a very talented player at the next level.”
Wilson is Arizona’s 10th 2020 commit. The class ranked 77th nationally and ninth in the Pac-12 before adding Wilson.
