On the eve of the 2019 team getting started with preseason training camp, one of the Arizona Wildcats’ longest-tenured NFL players has found a new one.

Earl Mitchell, a nine-year veteran defensive tackle who played for Arizona from 2006-09, has signed with the Seattle Seahawks.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Mitchell spent the previous two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, starting 28 games. He played for the Miami Dolphins 2014-16 and spent his first four NFL seasons with the Houston Texans, who drafted him in the third round in 2010.

Mitchell, 31, had eight sacks and 18 tackles for loss in his final two seasons at Arizona after switching over from running back.
