The Arizona Cardinals added some more local flavor to their practice squad Wednesday by signing former Arizona Wildcats linebacker/defensive end Reggie Gilbert.
The 27-year-old joins former UA defensive back Jace Whittaker on the 16-player practice squad.

Born in Laveen, Arizona, Gilbert has appeared in 27 NFL games since going undrafted out of Arizona in 2016. He spent two seasons with the Green Bay Packers and last season with the Tennessee Titans. Overall, Gilbert has 62 tackles, six tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks as an NFL player.
In four years at Arizona, Gilbert logged 90 tackles, 28 tackles for loss and 14 sacks.
The Cardinals are 4-2 this season, good for second place in the NFC West.
