The Pac-12 revealed the matchups for the final week of the regular season and the Arizona Wildcats are scheduled to face the California Golden Bears in Berkeley at a to be determined time and date.
However, it seems unlikely that this game will be played. The Bears had to cancel their game at Washington State just two hours before kickoff on Saturday after finding positive COVID-19 cases within their program.
Arizona just fired head coach Kevin Sumlin and is low on scholarship players because of transfers, opt outs and injuries.
If this game does end up being played, Arizona will be looking to end its program-record 12-game losing streak as well as continue its five-game winning streak against the Bears. UA has not lost to Cal since 2009 when the Bears beat the Wildcats 24-16 in Berkeley.
Cal is 1-3 this season with a win over Oregon after opening the season with losses to UCLA, Oregon State and Stanford. Their first two games—vs. Washington, at ASU—were cancelled due to COVID concerns.
Here’s the rest of the Pac-12’s Week 7 slate. It’s probably worth noting that the Arizona-Cal game is the only one listed without a time and date.
