The Arizona Wildcats signed speedy 3-star Texas defensive back Dalton Johnson on Wednesday.

Hometown: Katy, Texas
Height: 5-foot-11
Weight: 180 pounds
2020 Stats: 1 INT (incomplete stats)

247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 1,364 nationally, No. 116 safety, No. 209 in Texas
Analysis: The only reason I believe Johnson did not receive the attention he deserves is because a lot of coaches viewed him as “undersized.”
There is nothing undersized about the way he plays.
Johnson plays for not only one of the best schools in Texas, but in the nation. Katy is known for pumping out D1 prospects every year.
Johnson has almost all the tangibles coaches want in DBs. He’s fast, decisive, makes good reads, smart, and tackles extremely well. Not to mention he is a hard hitter. I mean, just watch his highlights.
This is a really good pickup for Arizona, and much like Javione Carr and Kolbe Cage, I believe Johnson can make an impact almost immediately.
