The Arizona Wildcats signed legacy and stout 3-star California offensive lineman JT Hand on Wednesday.
High School: Mission Viejo High School
Hometown: Mission Viejo, California
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 295 pounds
2020 Stats: No stats, season starts in early 2021
Offers: Arizona, UNLV
247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 1,706 nationally, No. 21 center, No. 140 in California
Analysis: Two things really stick out about Hand. One: he is a legacy. His father Bryan played at Arizona from 1993-1995. Two: he is a mauler.
Hand gets fantastic pad level and a ton of aggression. He has great placement with his hands and keeps his feet moving.
He naturally has a great motor and plays smart. He is a strong player as well, using his lower body strength to keep a good base.
He has a similar style to freshman Josh Baker and I can see those two anchoring the interior of the offensive line for a long time.
