Will Parks is back in a familiar place.
Breaking: per league source #Broncos have claimed DB Will Parks— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) December 2, 2020
The 26-year-old Parks was surprisingly released by the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, having appeared in six games with Philly including a trio of starts. Parks had 13 tackles in those appearances, though toward the end most of his snaps were on special teams.
Parks spent 2016-19 with Denver, starting 15 games at safety and recording four interceptions with 149 tackles. He signed a one-year deal with the Eagles in March.
In a perfectly 2020 scenario, Parks goes to a team with a better record but a worse chance of making the postseason. Philly, despite a 3-7-1 record, is only a half-game out of first place in the NFC East Division while 4-7 Denver is three games out of the AFC Wild Card race with five to play.
Parks has yet to be on a playoff team.
