The first of four Arizona Wildcats wide receivers to leave the program since the 2020 season ended has found a destination.
Stanley Berryhill III, a redshirt junior who led the UA in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns this past fall, announced on Twitter his commitment to play at Ball State.

A former walk-on, Berryhill had 23 catches for 277 yards and three TDs in five games in 2020. For his career, which included getting put on scholarship by Kevin Sumlin prior to the 2018 season, Berryhill had 56 catches for 733 yards and 8 TDs.
With Ball State, Berryhill will be joining a program that just won the Mid-American Conference championship and will play in the Arizona Bowl on Thursday against San Jose State at Arizona Stadium. The Cardinals are 6-1 this season for fifth-year coach Mike Neu.
Berryhill, a Tucson native, is the second former UA player to announce his commitment elsewhere since leaving the program in December following sophomore quarterback Grant Gunnell, who is headed to Memphis.
Wide receivers Jamarye Joiner, Boobie Curry and Ma’jon Wright, quarterback Rhett Rodriguez, offensive linemen Robert Congel and Jamari Williams and defensive backs Khary Crump and Edric Whitley all remain in the NCAA transfer portal.
