The last of Arizona's senior defensive players who left the program during the offseason has found a new home.

Edge rusher Kylan Wilborn will finish his college career at UNLV, he announced Friday on Twitter.

Wilborn entered the NCAA transfer portal in September, the fourth UA defender with starting experience to leave since the 2019 season ended. Safety Scottie Young Jr. and linebacker Tony Fields II ended up at West Virginia, while linebacker Colin Schooler is at Texas Tech, with Fields and Schooler playing this season.

The 6-foot-2, 252-pound Wilborn started 26 games in three seasons with Arizona, including all 13 in 2017 when he earned Freshman All-America honors. He started twice in 2019 but had only seven tackles in 12 games, playing mostly on the edge.

His best season came as a freshman when he tallied seven of his nine career sacks.

Had Wilborn stayed at Arizona he'd have no doubt started this fall. Instead, two of the Wildcats' four starting LB spots are occupied by walk-ons.
