Since taking over the program before the 2018 season, Kevin Sumlin has put a priority on recruiting the state of Texas in order to find the players he needs to rebuild the Arizona Wildcats.
That effort has resulted in 12 signees from the Lone Star State in the 2019 and 2020 recruiting classes, as well as one of the two commitments Arizona has for 2021.
And it’s also gotten the Wildcats high on the list of several other Texans in the 2021 class, most recently 3-star linebacker Jordan Eubanks, who has Arizona among his top six choices.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Eubanks, from Denton, Texas, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1,175 player in the 2021 class. He’s considered the 85th-best outside linebacker in the country and the No. 191 prospect from Texas.
Eubanks joins 3-star Louisiana cornerback Tyrell Raby as 2021 prospects to have included Arizona among their top schools in the past week. The Wildcats currently have two players committed in the class, 3-star Texas linebacker Jackson Bailey and 3-star Louisiana linebacker Kolbe Cage.
