The Arizona Wildcats continue to make headway on the recruiting trail, with 21 commits for the 2021 class after starting off slow. And now they’ve made the cut for two more key targets who narrowed their choices on Sunday.

The UA is among the final six schools for Cameron Bonner, a 3-star wide receiver from Houston, and the final eight for Velltray Jefferson, a 3-star athlete from Fresno.

Checking in at 5-foot-11 and 173 pounds, Bonner is ranked as the 640th player nationally, 102nd wide receiver, and 90th player in Texas per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Along with Arizona, he has Texas A&M, Utah, Illinois, Pittsburgh and Houston among his finalist.

Bonner, who has 19 offers overall caught 50 catches for 1,255 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2019 for St. Thomas High School.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Johnson is ranked 711th overall by 247Sports as well as the 49th-best athlete in 2021 and California’s No. 68 prospect. He plays for Edison High School, the same school the UA got defenders McKenzie Barnes and Kwabena Watson from.

ASU, Colorado, Fresno State, Tennessee, Utah, USC and Washington are the other finalists for Johnson, who has played both linebacker and tight end for Edison.
