Arizona defensive lineman Mykee Irving to enter transfer portal

Redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Mykee Irving announced Friday that he is entering the transfer portal after three seasons with the Arizona Wildcats.

The 6-foot-3, 320-pound Calabasas, California native logged five tackles in 11 career games. A rotational player, Irving was a three-star recruit in the 2018 recruiting class, also holding an offer from UCLA.

Irving says he will be a graduate transfer will two or three years of eligibility. He becomes the second defensive lineman to leave the UA program this offseason, the other being senior standout Roy Lopez who declared for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Still, Arizona returns a good amount of talent there, including JB Brown, Aaron Blackwell, Trevon Mason and Kyon Barrs.
