Three-star linebacker KC Ossai decommitted from the Arizona Wildcats on Wednesday, citing a “lack of interest” from the new coaching staff.
The Conroe, Texas native pledged to Arizona back on Aug. 2, picking the UA over schools like Nevada, Air Force, Army and Louisiana Lafayette.
After the new coaching staff and the lack of interest I would like to announce that I am de-committing from the university of Arizona #AGTG #TRUSTINGOD
— KC Ossai (@ossai_kc) January 27, 2021
Ossai is the No. 1,219 player in the 2021 class, No. 52 inside linebacker and No. 182 player from Texas. His brother Joseph is an All-American at Texas.
Ossai’s decommitment opens up another spot for Arizona to bring in a 2021 recruit or transfer. So far the Wildcats have 15 recruits and seven transfers, meaning they have three more openings before reaching its limit.
Arizona most recently added 2019 MAC Defensive Player of the Year Treshaun Hayward who, like Ossai, is a linebacker.
