The Arizona Wildcats have already seen three of their wide receivers withdraw from the transfer portal and return to the UA.
Might another be doing the same?
2020 leading receiver Stanley Berryhill III announced Thursday that he has decommitted from Ball State and is reopening his recruitment. He pledged to the Cardinals on Dec. 28, not long after he announced his intention to leave the UA program following Kevin Sumlin’s firing:
After talking to my parents and a lot of deep thought I have decided to decommit from Ball State University. Thank you to the Muncie community and Ball State family!!! With that being said my RECRUITMENT IS OPEN!!!

A Tucson native, it would make sense for Berryhill, a redshirt junior, to stay put, especially given the success he already had last season. In just five games, he caught 23 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns despite the offensive being pretty anemic.
Fellow wide receivers Jamarye Joiner, Ma’jon Wright and Boobie Curry briefly entered the transfer portal too before the new coaching staff lured them back.
Though transfers are expected to be immediately eligible this season, they aren’t able to officially visit other schools right now because of the pandemic, making the process a little more complicated than usual.
