Though new coach Jedd Fisch has said Arizona’s recruiting priority is within the state and along the West Coast, that’s not going to stop him and his staff from seeking quality prospects from all over the country. And those recruits are showing mutual interest.

Anthony Rose, a 3-star safety from Hallandale, Fla., has included the UA among his final three choices along with Penn State and South Carolina.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Rose is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 404 player in the Class of 2022, the 24th-best safety and the No. 56 prospect from Florida. He also has offers from ASU, Indiana, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee and Texas A&M, among others.

It won’t be long before Rose picks from those three finalist. Earlier in the week he told 247Sports he planned to commit on Feb. 23, his mother’s birthday. South Carolina appears to be the favorite based on it having three Crystal Ball predictions compared to none for Arizona or Penn State.

Rose is the second Florida prospect from the 2022 class to recent include Arizona among his top choices. Trevon Howard, a 3-star safety from IMG Academy in Bradenton, has the Wildcats in his top five along with Colorado, Iowa State, Michigan State and South Florida.

Arizona currently has one commitment for 2022 in Grayson Stovall, a 3-star offensive lineman from Chandler.
