Jedd Fisch and the Arizona Wildcats have added the second piece to their 2022 class on Monday, as 3-star cornerback Tacario Davis announced his commitment to the UA.

Davis is a three-star cornerback from Millikan High School in Long Beach, California. He is a long, rangy corner, sitting at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds. He is ranked as the 79th corner, 66th player in California, and the 796th player nationally, per the 247Sports composite rankings.

Davis has three offers, all of which come from Power Five programs. Kansas and Arizona State are the other two. He told 247Sports why he felt Arizona was the best fit.

“Coach (DeWayne) Walker is a great coach and has coached some great players in the past,” Davis told 247Sports.He has worked with guys like Jalen Ramsey and Denzel Ward and helped make them great players so I can’t wait to work with him. I like the depth chart as well and feel I’ll have a chance to step in and compete for playing time right away. I like the location as well. It’s away from home but not too far away at the same time so it’s just a great all around fit.”

Davis finished his sophomore campaign with 19 tackles, an interception (a pick six), and a fumble recovery. He is slotted to be a big part of Millikan’s defense this spring.

Davis joins 3-star Chandler offensive lineman Grayson Stovall in Arizona’s 2022 class.
