The last of Arizona’s seniors has gone public with his intentions for 2021, and it won’t involve playing for the Wildcats.

Safety Jarrius Wallace has decided to leave the program, putting his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Wallace appeared in only one game during the abbreviated 2020 season, his fifth at the school, recording two tackles in the opener against USC. For his UA career he played in 36 games, making nine starts but none since 2018.

Wallace is the fifth senior from the 2020 squad to opt not to return to Arizona, joining offensive lineman Steven Bailey (transfer), running back Gary Brightwell (NFL Draft), cornerback Lorenzo Burns (NFL Draft) and defensive lineman Roy Lopez (NFL Draft).

The seniors set to return for 2021, all of whom are taking advantage of the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA due to the COVID-19 pandemic, are wide receivers Tayvian Cunningham and Thomas Reid III, tight end Bryce Wolma, offensive lineman Josh McCauley, defensive linemen Aaron Blackwell, JB Brown, Jalen Cochran, Trevon Mason and Myles Tapusoa, linebacker Anthony Pandy and kicker Lucas Havrisik.
