The Arizona Wildcats continue their strong in-state recruiting, nabbing another good Phoenix-area player.
Tyler Powell, a 3-star tight end from Phoenix-Brophy Prep, announced his decision on Friday.

Sitting at 6-foot-7 and 240 pounds, Powell chose UA over offers from Auburn, Florida State, UCLA, Arizona State, and Iowa State.
Powell is ranked as the 71st tight end in the country, 19th player in Arizona, and the 1,202nd player nationally per the 247Sports Composite.
Per Maxpreps, Powell caught six passes for 40 yards last season, though his stats appear to be missing a few games.
Powell is Arizona’s 14th commitment for the 2022 class and the fifth in-state player. He officially visited Arizona in mid June and the visit was one of the reasons Arizona was able to propel itself to the top of Powell’s recruitment.
