Arizona has lost another player to the NCAA transfer portal, albeit one who hasn’t played this season.

Senior defensive tackle Myles Tapusoa has put his name into the portal, ending his UA career after 16 games.

The 6-foot-1, 290-pound Tapusoa last appeared on the field for the Wildcats last December. He was not on the UA roster for spring practice but participated in preseason camp, looking much slimmer after playing at over 300 pounds in 2020.

Tapusoa, a junior college transfer who signed with Arizona in the 2019 recruiting class, made two starts that season when he had 12 tackles (2 for loss).

Arizona has now seen two players enter the portal since the season began. Fifth-year junior offensive lineman Edgar Burrola departed shortly after the UA’s shocking home loss to NAU.
