The Arizona Wildcats hosted a solid group of prospects on the last weekend before the Early Signing Period, and Jedd Fisch and Company were able to add some good pieces to the 2024 class.

One such piece is 3-star junior college defensive lineman Bryce Butler.

Butler, who plays for Garden City Community College in Kansas, announced his decision on Monday after his official visit to Tucson.

There are a lot of things to like about Butler’s game. He’s quick, explosive, and disruptive. He’s shown an ability to take on a double-team, stretch the play to the outside, beat the blocks, and take down the ball carrier. He is strong and has very strong hands that snatch the ball carrier and don’t let go.

Butler chose Arizona over 17 other offers, including: Mississippi State, South Florida, Liberty, Buffalo, Troy, and Western Kentucky. Ranking-wise, Butler comes in as a 3-star in the 247Sports Composite Rankings for JUCO players. The 6-foot-5, 295 pound lineman is rated as the No. 47 JUCO player nationally, the No. 12 DL, and the No. 15 player from Connecticut, which is where Butler prepped.

The Toronto native finished his final season at Garden City with 28 tackles, 12 TFL, 3 sacks, 3 PBUs and a forced fumble in 11 games. He finished his career there with 59 tackles, 25.5 TFL, 8 sacks, 3 PBUs, and a forced fumble.

Butler is the fourth defensive lineman of the 2024 class, joining prep commits Kaho Tuihalamaka and Eduwa Okundaye and UC-Davis transfer Chubba Maae. He is the third JUCO product taken by Fisch after adding defensive lineman Keanu Mailoto and defensive back Charles Yates Jr. last year.

Including transfers, the UA is in line to sign 20 players beginning Wednesday.
