The Arizona Wildcats just finished up their last official visit weekend before the Early Signing Period. Jedd Fisch and the staff are already starting to see the fruits of their labor.
After receiving a commitment from JUCO defensive lineman Bryce Butler, a few hours later resulted in more good news. Former Tennessee safety transfer Jack Luttrell announced his commitment to Arizona.
Luttrell is a talented defender in the backfield and comes in to a stable situation. He will be able to adjust and adapt to the new team and defensive scheme as he learns and observes veterans Gunner Maldonado and Dalton Johnson. It would not be all that surprising to see him see some playing time as well with his skillset.
He signed with the Tennessee Volunteers as part of the 2023 class as a 3-star prospect. He was rated as the No. 970 player nationally, the No. 83 safety, and the No. 97 player in Georgia. The 6-foot, 180 pound defensive back prepped at Georgia powerhouse Colquitt County High School and saw action in three games on special teams.
Luttrell entered the transfer portal on December 4 and was able to quickly set up an official visit to Arizona. He saw all that he needed to announce his future in Tucson.
