The Arizona Wildcats (41-13) found out their fate for the NCAA Softball Tournament on Sunday, and they will be hosting the Boston University Terriers (35-19), Louisville Cardinals (36-20), and LSU Tigers (35-22) at Hillenbrand Stadium for the double-elimination regional round. All the games will be broadcast on ESPNU and ESPN3.
The first Arizona game will start at 8 PM local time against the BU Terriers Friday night. The Louisville/LSU game starts at 5:30 PM.
Arizona is the 11 seed nationally. Looking down the road, the Wildcats would likely face UL-Lafayette in the Super Regionals. The Ragin' Cajuns are the No. 6 National Seed.
The Pac-12 also picked up national seeds in Oregon (No. 1 overall), UCLA (No. 3), Arizona State (No. 9) and Washington (No. 12). The ASU regional in Tempe will be broadcast on ESPNU. That region includes Michigan, who has been a national power in softball for about the last decade, so the Devils got a little bit of a tough draw.
More on the NCAA Softball Tournament later this week, but get ready to rock Hillenbrand on Friday!
