Arizona has added quite a few early enrollees for 2015, which includes 3-star corner Devon Brewer. Brewer comes in at 5-10, 170lbs out of Central East High School (Fresno, CA), the same school as early enrollee Shariff Williams at defensive tackle and freshman sensation Nick Wilson at running back.
Brewer was the 51st ranked corner in the nation and 97th ranked recruit out of California according to ESPN. He held offers to Houston, Nevada, San Jose State and UNLV before committing to Arizona. Many people wonder why Arizona is always the first power five school to offer recruits and a large part of it is the talent of Arizona recruiting coordinators finding them first.
Brewer shows great instinct and speed hovering over the secondary and into the backfield. He also knows how to deliver a hit. His lateral quickness will serve him well in a 3-3-5 defensive. His highlights are below.
It'll be interesting to see how Brewer plays out within the next few years due to the sheer depth at corner. Freshman Cam Denson, redshirt sophomore Jarvis McCall and junior Devin Holiday will be looking to compete as starting corners. There's also an influx of corners in the 2015 class with Sam Morrison, Antonio Parks, Dane Kruikshank and Anthony Mariscal.
