Arizona Football Recruiting: Wildcats send offers to two linemen

Rich Rodriguez looking to add some more size in this class

Arizona continues to hit the recruiting trail early in the spring, adding two offers this week. Both offers were to linemen, one on defense, the other on offense. On defense, this is the size Arizona has been longing for and on offense, you can never have enough linemen.

The first offer was sent to Jake Burton, 6-6 230lb defensive end out of Granite Hills High School (El Cajon, CA). Burton is a 3-star product, ranked 40th strong-side defensive end in the nation and ranked 71st in the state of California, regardless of position. His list of offers includes California, Colorado State, Hawaii, San Diego State, and Washington State, among others. His highlights are below, where you can also see him playing h-back/tight end.

The next offers goes to Jacob Buccigrossi, 6-4 275lb offensive tackle hailing from North Hills High School (Pittsburgh, PA), Matt Dudek territory.

This is Buccigrossi's second big offer, as he already received offers from Old Dominion, Temple, Toledo, and Virginia, while also drawing interest from Penn State. He took an unofficial visit to UVa this past week, leaving many experts with the belief that's where he'll land. Buccigrossi is ranked 93rd in the nation among all offensive tackles and 29th among all recruits in Pennsylvania. His junior year highlights are below.

The 2016 recruiting class is currently ranked 36th in the nation, 4th in the Pac-12. Arizona landed a total of nine linemen in the latest recruiting class, adding more bulk to the roster. The Wildcats have already added some size for 2016, with a commitment from local 3-star defensive tackle, Justin Holt.
