Corona (Calif.) Centennial running back JJ Taylor has committed to Arizona pic.twitter.com/KTRBV2YEYw— Matt Moreno (@MattGOAZCATS) July 19, 2015
Taylor told our Gabe Encinas earlier this week that he would commit to Arizona after his visit this weekend, and now it has become true.
JJ Taylor is small, checking in at just 5-6 and 155 pounds. He becomes the 10th player of the 2016 Arizona recruiting class, and the fourth(!) running back. Even though he is small, 247 has him ranked as the 20th-best all-purpose back in the country, and the 107th-best prospect out of the state of California.
The new Arizona commit also had offers from Washington State, Nevada, Ohio, and a few schools from the Big Sky Conference as well. Most big schools probably shied away from him because of his lack of size.
Rodriguez does not back away from smaller guys. Taylor was one of his favorite players in the class.— Jason Scheer (@JasonScheer) July 19, 2015
Once he saw Taylor's tape and made the offer, Rodriguez basically made it his personal responsibility to land Taylor.— Jason Scheer (@JasonScheer) July 19, 2015
Welcome to the latest Arizona commit, and check out his tape to see what RichRod saw in him:
