Early Monday morning there was a report that surfaced from Rivals, stating that 2-star defensive tackle Elijah Watson had decommitted from the Arizona Wildcats after receiving some attention from SEC schools.
I was able to get in contact with Watson, and he told me that the report from Rivals was a big misunderstanding. He remains firm on his commitment to Arizona.
The 6-foot-3, 280 pound defensive tackle transferred to IMG Academy for his senior year, which was certain to give him more exposure. It is also likely to boost his 2-star recruiting ranking, which is just a few tenths of a decimal place away from reaching 3-star status.
He plans to graduate high school early and enroll at Arizona this spring. He is going to be a pivotal piece to the defensive line in the future.
