The Arizona Wildcats are starting to make some in-roads in the Inland Empire.
Three-star safety Mark Perry from Rancho Cucamonga (CA) High School named his four finalists on Friday, and Arizona made the cut along with Arizona State, Colorado, and Nevada.
Perry is currently on an official visit to Colorado. He’s the 65th safety in the 2019 class and the 857th player overall, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
Perry is an underrated safety. He played on a stacked secondary last season that included now-Mater Dei corner Jeremiah Criddell. He is a great cover safety that likes the hard hit. He also has great eye discipline, which allows him to make plays on the ball or disrupt the receiver. Perry has fluid hips that allow him to change direction quickly and also has good size at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds.
