A 60th-minute Colorado goal served as the difference maker as Arizona soccer fell to the Buffaloes 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Mulcahy Stadium.
The Wildcats (4-13, 1-9 Pac-12) have now been shutout in three of their last games. Arizona picked up its first conference win Thursday with a 1-0 victory over Utah.
Colorado’s Shyra James scored the lone goal of the day on an assist by Lawson Willis and Shanade Hopcroft.
Arizona goalkeeper Hope Hisey recorded two saves, as Colorado tallied just six shots. Arizona’s offense managed to get seven shots off, including four on goal, but none found the back of the net.
Three of Arizona’s shots came from senior Jill Aguilera, whose 31 career goals are one shy of tying the program record held by Mallory Miller. She got to 31 with a goal on Friday in the UA’s 1-0 home win over Utah, its first Pac-12 win of the season.
Aguilera will have one last opportunity this season to tie or break the record when Arizona hosts ASU on Nov. 5 at 7:00 p.m. MST in the final game of the season.
