On the eve of her final game in an Arizona uniform, Arizona goalkeeper Hope Hisey has been named the 2023 Women’s Soccer Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
The fifth-year senior graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Political Science with a 4.0 GPA and currently holds a 4.0 GPA in her Legal Studies master’s program.
Hisey was a 2022 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honoree and is a six-time Dean’s List member.

In order to be eligible for the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, student-athletes must be a senior (in athletics eligibility), on track to receive a degree, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, participate in at least 50 percent of the scheduled contests in the sport and have a minimum one year in residence at the institution.
Hisey recently broke the Arizona program record for saves with 361, which is eighth all-time in Pac-12 history.
Arizona closes out the regular season this season when it hosts rival ASU at 7 p.m. MST on Pac-12 Arizona.
