The Arizona Wildcats and Baylor Bears met at Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium during the very first weekend of the regular season, and they’ll meet once again with a Women’s College World Series bid on the line.
No. 2 National Seed Arizona will host the 15th-seeded Bears in the best-of-three Tucson Regional beginning on Friday.
Here’s the scheduled start times and TV listings:
FRIDAY: 6 PM PT, ESPN2
SATURDAY: 6 PM PT, ESPN
SUNDAY: 4 PM PT, ESPNU
You can also stream all games on the ESPN app or on Watch ESPN.
This is the first year that softball Super Regionals are scheduled over three days rather than playing the if-necessary game three on the same day as game two.
In their first meeting of the season, Arizona took down Baylor 4-0 thanks to a Danielle O’Toole five-hitter. Of course both of these teams look a bit different now, but both had success in the circle during Regional play.
Baylor’s Gia Rodoni, who faced just two Wildcats in their first meeting, tossed two no-hitters in the Waco Regional, which were both 1-0 wins for the Bears.
O’Toole and Taylor McQuillin combined to hold Arizona’s opponents scoreless throughout the Tucson Regional, making the Wildcats the only team to not give up a run in the first weekend.
Baylor has a record of 46-12 this year, but is just 10-8 in true road games. On the flip side, Arizona is now 29-2 at home in 2017.
