The Arizona softball team begins postseason play Friday when it opens the Tucson Regional against Saint Francis (Pa.) at 8:30 p.m. MST.
UA pitcher Taylor McQuillin, shortstop Jessie Harper, and first baseman Alyssa Palomino (from left to right) spoke to the media Thursday to discuss the upcoming matchup and postseason road ahead.

McQuillin, Arizona’s ace, is 25-10 with a 1.59 ERA. Harper is batting .337 with 17 homers and 50 RBI. Palomino is hitting .382 with a Pac-12-best 18 homers and 40 RBI.
Palomino, a redshirt sophomore, is playing in the postseason for the first time. She tore her ACL just before last year’s postseason.
The Wildcats are 40-14 and the No. 14 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
