The Arizona-Cal softball series this weekend has been reduced from four games to two due to COVID-19 protocols within the Cal program.
The game times for the modified series are as follows:
- Saturday, 6 p.m. MST (on Arizona Live Stream)
- Sunday, 12 p.m. MST (on Pac-12 Network Bay Area)
Both games will count as conference games. They will mark the first time the Golden Bears have played since April 11 due to COVID-19 issues within their program.
They enter the series 16-13 overall and 3-6 in the Pac-12. Arizona swept a home series vs. Utah last week to improve to 31-8 and 9-5, respectively.
The Wildcats are expected to learn Thursday if they will be eligible to host Regionals and Super Regionals this season. Normally, the sites are chosen at the end of the regular season and determined by performance, but this season the NCAA is predetermining postseason sites to ensure they have adequate testing capacity.
